It is my greatest hope that the information presented in this book will help readers to re-evaluate their expectations in relationships and more importantly of their partners. We are all just human trying to live our lives the best we can with the hopes of finding a compatible partner to share it with. There are no super heroes or fairytales and if we can approach relationships for what they really are then perhaps we can alleviate the unnecessary broken hearts and love turning to hate that so often result from entering relationships for the wrong reasons.

Amazingly creative and educational.

Under the Tuscan Sun
5. How long have you been working on this novel?
Approximately 6 months, it was completed in November 2014
6. Do you have an all-time favorite novel?
I enjoy every novel for different reasons, depending on the mood I am in.
My most recent read, which I thoroughly enjoyed was the All Souls Trilogy by Deborah Harkness
7. What motivated you to write this novel?
I have been a mental health therapist for over 20 years working with hundreds of individuals and couples who struggle with relationship issues. I wrote this book because I strongly believe that everyone deserves to be in a happy, healthy, long lasting relationship and I believe they exist, with some work and know how. Having both personal and professional experience with relationships I felt passionate about sharing the tools and skills that I offer my clients with others who may not otherwise seek counseling. The skills presented in this book use a cognitive behavioral approach that has been proven effective in the improvement of relationships.
8. What artist would you love to have dinner with?
I would love to have dinner with Michelangelo, I would be very interested in what inspired him to paint the Sistine Chapel.
9. Apart from writing, what else are you passionate about?
I am passionate about the cultural arts and movies. I am also passionate about helping others to live successful and fulfilling lives
10. What influenced you to enter the Novel Festival?
I wanted to extend my reach of my book to as many people as possible and the readings by actors seemed very innovative and exciting to me.
11. Any advice or tips you’d like to pass on to other writers?
Writing the book is only half the battle, but the most rewarding part. While writing your book, work on your marketing, develop a platform and a pitch as marketing is the most challenging part.
But above all else, just have fun. If you enjoy what you are writing about, your passion will shine through.
