Synopsis – Book Blurb
Seventeen-year-old Chrissella Cantenelli thought she had it made in the big city. She was in her last year of high school, she had a job in the barista shop down the street from her apartment building and her art. Who could want more? Then a phone call from her grandmother’s doctor changed her entire world.
Lily Gran was no shrinking violet. She was a tough, stubborn, independent Scottish woman who always took care of everything until she’d broken her hip. Enya, Chrissella’s mother, decided they would move to the small town of Melville, Saskatchewan to help Lily Gran with chores until she was back on her feet. Needless to say, Chrissella was less than impressed and wasn’t going to make it easy on anyone. Then tragedy hit.
Not even a month into their move, Enya fell ill. Chrissella and the grandmother she’d never known, had to pull forces together for Enya’s sake. If moving to a small town wasn’t overwhelming enough, Chrissella was slowly learning about the past her mother left behind, including the father who’d abandoned them both…or so she was told.
Can three generations of women so different, yet so much alike learn to get along in the new life they have together? Or will the pain of the past keep them from moving forward?
A young man abducted by aliens.
