Winning Short Story: MR “NAUGHTY” BECOMES MR “NICE” by Laura Anne Ewald

This started as a children’s story about a “book nerd” kid—based on an experience I once had back in seventh grade when, yes, I made the mistake of reading Lad: A Dog on a Friday afternoon during reading hour in Mr. Swanson’s Social Studies class. The story is looking more and more like a romance the more I think about it, though. I may leave it in the children’s age group, but I think kids can learn a lot about human nature, nurturing, and love by watching the way grownups behave toward one another.

Interview with Novelist Brigitta Moon (A Secret Moon, My Morning Run)

Brigitta Moon has been an avid reader of a variety of genres since high school. After high school she went on to a Baltimore community college where she studied nursing. She went on to continue her studies in nursing and business at The College of Notre Dame of Maryland where she obtained her BSN. Working many hours on the night shift presented many opportunities for delving into a drama, a thriller or a saga. The reasons she writes is to entertain and sweep readers off to a romance, drama or saga typed on the pages between the covers of a book when they need it most.

Born and raised in Grand Rapids, Michigan, K. L. Burnham is the author of Undying Vengeance, the first of The Dark Ones Vampire Trilogy.
