Summer, Poetry by Bud Scott

WILDsound Writing and Film Festival Review

Genre: Nostalgic, Society, Life

Summer
by Bud Scott

Sun

beating down.
Heat waves

rising from the road.
Children

running through sprinklers.
Old men

sitting in the shade,
sipping lemonade,

smoking

and
watching their youth

ramble and scramble away,
giggling.
